Bisnis.comJAKARTA – The rupiah exchange rate against the United States (US) dollar has the potential to strengthen in trading early this week, Monday (13/10/2025). Check out the movement of the rupiah exchange rate today.
On Friday (10/10/2025), the rupiah closed down 2 points or 0.01% and parked at IDR 16,570 per US dollar. At the same time, the US dollar index was observed to weaken 0.27 points or 0.27% to 99.26.
The US dollar index parked at 98.97 at the end of trading October 12 2025. Launching Reutersthe US dollar fell after US President Donald Trump boasted that he would increase tariffs on Chinese imports to 100%. This condition increased the exchange rate of the euro and yen against the greenback.
Even though it slipped from level 99, the US dollar index was still observed to have strengthened 1.66% in the last week, which was the biggest weekly increase since September 2024.
Currency and commodities observer Ibrahim Assuaibi estimates that the rupiah will fluctuate this week, but has the opportunity to close higher in the range of IDR 16,520-IDR 16,570 per US dollar.
He explained that the US government shutdown was still ongoing into its ninth day and the latest Federal Reserve (The Fed) Meeting Minutes showed that policymakers agreed to support the weakening labor market.

Dari dalam negeri, pemerintah memperkirakan pertumbuhan ekonomi pada kuartal III/2025 bisa mencapai di kisaran 5% hingga 5,1% secara tahunan atau year-on-year (yoy), karena pada 3 bulan ketiga 2025 itu perekonomian Indonesia masih didukung oleh ekspor.
Muhammad Alfatih, Senior Technical Analyst PT Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia, mengatakan sentimen pasar domestik masih positif. Namun, hal tersebut dapat melemah bila rupiah terus terdepresiasi. Nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar AS cenderung volatil dan diperkirakan bergerak di kisaran Rp16.500–Rp16.700 per dolar AS.

Rupiah Ditutup Melemah ke Level Rp16.573
Nilai tukar rupiah ditutup melemah tipis pada perdagangan awal pekan ini. Berdasarkan data Bloomberg pada pukul 15.00 WIB, rupiah melemah 3 poin atau 0,02% ke level Rp16.573 per dolar AS.
Pada saat yang sama, indeks dolar AS menguat 0,11 poin atau 0,11% ke level 99,087 pada hari ini hingga pukul 15.24 WIB.

Rupiah Dibuka Melemah 0,07%
Nilai tukar rupiah dibuka melemah pada pembukaan perdagangan awal pekan ini, Senin (13/10/2025). Rupiah turun ke level Rp16.582 per dolar AS.
Berdasarkan data Bloomberg, di pasar spot, rupiah melemah 0,07% ke level Rp16.582 per dolar AS. Sementara itu, indeks dolar AS turun 0,06% ke level 98,92.
Sementara itu, mata uang Asia lainnya dibuka bervariasi, yakni yen Jepang yang turun 0,46%, dolar Hong Kong menguat 0,04%, dolar Singapura menguat 0,07%, dolar Taiwan melemah 0,13%, dan won Korea melemah 0,04%.
Lalu peso Filipina menguat 0,16%, rupee India naik 0,11%, yuan China menguat 0,07%, ringgit Malaysia stagnan, dan baht Thailand menguat 0,24%.
