List of 250 Palestinian prisoners released that Israel will release.

Israel has published the full list of 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences who are being released. It’s part of the hostage and ceasefire agreement.
Of the 250 prisoners, 15 will be released to East Jerusalem, 100 to the West Bank and 135 are scheduled for deportation.
The list was published by the Ministry of Justice, The Times of Israel reported. Some last-minute changes to the list were approved this morning after negotiators agreed to swap 11 Fatah-linked prisoners with Hamas-linked prisoners.
Although Hamas demanded the release of prominent Fatah figure Marwan Barghouti, who is in prison for planning deadly terror attacks during the Second Intifada, he is not on the published list. Popular Front leader Ahmad Sa’adat, as well as senior Hamas figures Ibrahim Hamed and Hassan Salameh, are also not on the list.
Iyad Abu al-Rub, commander of Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Jenin area of ​​the West Bank, is on the list. He is responsible for orchestrating and overseeing three major terrorist attacks in 2003, 2004 and 2005. A total of 13 people were killed in the three attacks.
Muhammad Zakarneh, a Fatah operative who planned the 2009 attack that killed taxi driver Grigory Raginovich, and Muhammad Abu al-Rub, who carried out a 2017 stabbing that killed Reuven Shmerling, will also be released.

In addition, Mahmoud Qawasmeh, a senior Hamas member who was released in the Shalit deal, deported to Gaza and later rearrested during the Gaza war in 2024, will also be released.
