Medellín lottery | How did the draw originated?
The ‘Medellín Lottery‘ has its roots in the Initiative of the Charity of Antioquia, an organization created in 1945 in the city of Medellín, Colombia. The idea behind the Medellín lottery was to raise funds to support social, educational and health works in the Antioquia region. Thus, the first draw of the Medellín lottery took place on June 30, 1945. Since then, the lottery has continued to operate weekly, providing opportunities to win attractive awards to the participants while contributing to the development and well -being of the community in Medellín and its surroundings.
