A random person slash occurred at the entrance of a supermarket on Zhongzheng Road, Miaoli City, Miaoli County yesterday afternoon (2nd). A 48-year-old suspect named Qiu attacked passers-by with a knife for no reason, causing two children and one man to be injured. He randomly grabbed a girl in front of the supermarket, and then stabbed the girl in the chest in a cold manner. Fortunately, a female teacher bravely stepped forward to save the girl to prevent the situation from deteriorating. Other students at the scene screamed and fled when they saw this. The owner was so scared that he stepped on the accelerator and called the police to deal with it.
The police immediately went to the suspect’s home to arrest him. After a confrontation, they successfully subdued the suspect. The motive for the crime needs to be clarified. The entire case is to be investigated for attempted murder and injury. The Miaoli District Prosecutor’s Office has set up a special task force to investigate and search for evidence, saying that it will be investigated strictly and informed the consortium legal person’s criminal victim protection association to initiate the protection of criminal victims.
The suspect Qiu also committed random injuries 10 years ago, causing four injuries at that time. One of the police was stabbed in multiple places. Fortunately, he wore a bulletproof vest to save his life. Qiu was sentenced to eight years and August in prison.
