Some 4,000 employees of the public and parapublic service mobilized on Wednesday in the canton of Friborg against the Sanitation Program of State Finance (PAFE). The day of action was supervised by unions and personnel organizations.

(Keystone-ATS) The movement, declared lawful by the Council of State, began at the start of the morning, with debraying, meetings and breaks lying in various workplaces. The assembly of staff on strike at the Friborg Hospital (HFR) brought together 100 people, said the Union of Public Services (SSP).

The HFR played its role as spearhead, without forgetting the areas of education. With 4000 participants in total, according to the organizers, the day of action mobilized even more than the demonstrations held on September 24, with 3000 people, and on June 4, with 2,500 people, in Place Georges-Python.

The PAFE, and its nearly 100 measures, must deploy its effects between 2026 and 2028 and relates to 405 million francs, up to 70% via spending and 30% via revenue, staff being affected in terms of the first. With regard to the initial project in April, the Council of State reduced its objectives by 89 million.
