Coming off a phenomenal season, the third-ranked Huskers punched their ticket to the program’s 40th NCAA Regional appearance with a decisive 3-0 sweep of Miami on Saturday night. This dominant performance in front of 8,684 roaring fans at the Bob Devaney Sports Center showcased why Nebraska continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of college volleyball.
A Defensive Masterclass
Nebraska’s suffocating defense was the story of the night. Holding Miami below 20 points in each set, the Huskers limited the Hurricanes to a dismal hitting percentage of just .058 – the lowest of the season for Miami. This marked Nebraska’s 24th consecutive home NCAA Tournament victory and extended their overall home winning streak to a remarkable 43 games.
Murray Shines in All-Around Performance
Harper Murray was a standout performer for Nebraska, leading the team in kills (9), digs (12), and service aces (2) while hitting an impressive .412. Rebekah Allick added 7 blocks and 6 kills, further solidifying Nebraska’s dominance at the net. Bergen Reilly orchestrated the Husker offense with 33 assists, as five Huskers contributed at least six kills.
