Jakarta –
Ruben Onsu has a mysterious experience when in the Holy Land. While undergoing Umrah, he was called ‘Alif’ many times by unknown people.
This story began when Ruben Onsu arrived first in Medina. When he was worshiping at the Prophet’s Mosque, many people greeted him.
“When the first time I entered the Nabawi Mosque, it was until we came home, not our people. The people there were known to them, who used to be sacrificed, always when they met, but there were some guys, four, three, they must have been greeted. ‘Assalamualaikum’. “From the entrance of the Prophet’s Mosque I have been experienced. I don’t know who,” he added.
One night, Ruben Onsu decided to return to the inn after Tahajud because he felt hungry. On the way, a man dressed in white robe and sacrificed suddenly hugged him from behind.
“He hugged me from behind. Yes, like we were walking in the pesantren hall or not. Like he was our teacher. ‘Assalamualaikum’. He is a handshake,” he said.
Ruben, who had thought he was reprimanded for holding a cellphone, was surprised when the man said a name.
“Then he said in English in a stammer. He wanted to call me like this. ‘Alif’,” Ruben said.
Similar events continue to repeat. At dawn, when Ruben moved to a different mosque door, the mosque guard suddenly greeted him with the name Alif. In fact, it is a different person.
“Assalamualaikum Alif. Really. This has a connection until I go to Mecca. Different people at different doors,” said Ruben Onsu.
The experience called ‘Alif’ continued to overshadow Ruben until he arrived in Mecca. Every time he prayed or walked, there were always people who greeted him with that name.
“Assalamualaikum Alif, as if we seemed to be familiar, like very familiar,” Ruben said moved.
The peak of all the events occurred when Ruben Onsu was at the Kajang’s door. After being able to touch the Hajar Aswad easily and nothing was in the way, Ruben decided to hold the door of the Ka’ba.
He was surprised because his hands were not pushed over by Askar, different from the people around him. When he was solemn holding the door of the kakbah, suddenly a voice was heard clearly in his ear.
“At Kuping Gue Keleng. ‘Assalamualaikum Alif’,” Ruben said.
Instantly he was shocked and immediately let go of his grip from the door of the Ka’ba. He chose to return to the line and looked at the Ka’ba from a distance.
“That’s it right now. ‘Oh my God.
Ruben Onsu claimed to have never told this incident in detail to anyone, including his team, until he returned to Jakarta. He felt he did not want to dramatize his experience, but could not deny that the incident gave him a deep spiritual meaning.
