The serial Netflix star opens up about celebrity crush and when she was taken on peach.
– I actually went straight home and looked at “Crazy Stupid Love”, says Emilia Jones to VG.
-Yes, because you don’t hate Ryan Gosling movies?
The 23-year-old puts his hand on his chest and laughs heartily at the question.
The British actor has previously stated that she has had a little celebrity love in Gosling.
– Haha! I love him. And I love that it has started to be a thing.
The girl from London is current in the HBO Max series “Task”, where she plays the character Maeve. There she ends up in a care role for the uncle’s children, and has to sacrifice much of her own life and plans.
– There were many really emotional moments, and most of my emotional scenes were recorded right in succession during the same week. When the week was over I was very tired, she says.
So tired that the only cure was to go home to see romantic comedies.
– I just had to laugh and relax completely. So then there was a lot of “crazy stupid love” and “Friends with benefits”. That’s what I always do after very emotional scenes, she admits.
In addition to the script being like a fist in the stomach, there were several reasons why the work on “Task” hit Jones hard in the diaphragm.
-The Maeve character came to me at a very good time in life, I think. I had just gone through some bad things, so it was quite cleansing to explore those feelings.
Despite his young age, Jones has already managed to play the lead role in an Oscar-winning film, “Coda,” and been designated by Variety for one in ten actors the world should keep an eye on in the future. She was also one of the main characters in the Netflix series “Locke & Key“.
– In a scene in “Task”, your uncle is “trapped” in the closet in your room when you are going intimate with a date. Have you been taken on peach at an embarrassing moment even even?
– My God, that’s how good it is! She responds immediately.
– Fortunately, never in the same way as Maeve, but people have come in when I have stood and changed and stuff.
When she thinks she comes to a movie recording she was just at, where she was wearing a costume from the 70s. When Jones thought she was alone, she took a little dance.
– I treated myself a little boogie where I stood for myself in great clothes, when suddenly someone came behind me and sighed “My God”. It was pretty embarrassing.
