Although it is difficult to believe in the weather, autumn has officially started, which means two things for a gaming fan. On the one hand, there will be a lot of important new features in the next three months that will be worth playing, and on the other hand, as the weather will cool and gray, it will be an increasingly loud time to stay in the comfortable room with a hot coffee or tea, start some kind of loose video game and cover it in virtual adventures.
And in the latter, we want to help you a little bit, so we decided to gather a portion of a game that fits well with this calm season because you either have a very autumn vibe or just don’t require the player to save the world with a massive sword or rifle. Instead, it is enough to discover, adventure, cultivate the garden, craft, or surrender to an emotional story. If you would rather do this this fall, keep with us because there is plenty to show.
1. Wytchwood
Table of Contents
- Platform: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS
The first piece of our list is the adventure game of Alimentrap 2021, in which we make the old witch of a forest, gathering the strange areas surrounding his home, gathering magic raw materials, which then wears all kinds of sprinkles, while trying to overcome the forest. The adventure that dives from the Gothic stories is accompanied by a special, storybook -like visuals, and our witch will not be lonely, as the game has a lot of strange acquisitions and finds quite a few strange stories through them. The autumn atmosphere is guaranteed, and even at Halloween, it can be a great relaxation, maybe no more.
2. Stardew Valley
- Platform: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS
Eric Barone’s 2016 life simulator is likely to be introduced to few, with over 40 million copies of it until December last year, and many say it is one of the best video games ever made. In this, our hero inherits a fairly ramaty farm from his deceased grandfather, which must first be restored in order to start cultivating everything and breeding there. We can collect, fish, mining, and sometimes even have to fight with the deep monsters. And all of this is a complete social part that gives you a chance to get to know the inhabitants of the nearby town, marry, have a child, and if you have someone to share with it, you can enjoy the pleasant adventures of Stardew Valley.
3. Cozy Grove
- Platform: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS
Cozy Grove 2021, which takes us to a ghostly island, also reinforces the series of life simulators, of course, of course, there is no need to worry about bringing the fringe there. As a so -called Spirit Scout, our task is to reveal new secrets every day and help to reassure the souls in the area. Within this, we can collect soul animals, crafts decorations, fish here, and since the game is in sync with real time, it offers 30-60 minutes of fresh content every day, so the more than 40-hour campaign can last all autumn. In fact, maybe even in December, if we really don’t hurry.
4. Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- Platform: Nintendo Switch
We stay a little bit for life simulators and islands, and the next piece of our list doesn’t have to be very much introduced, as Nintendo 2020 is still the current episode of Animal Crossing. In this act, Tom Nook, who is sleepy (with the Japanese), sends us to a deserted island, which we can then turn into our own little home. We collect the raw materials, perform the tasks ahead of us, and build practically a small village for the anthropomorphic animals beside us. It is possible to visit our neighbors, and the good news is that you can play this together if we were not alone in our island. New Horizons went big during the Coronavirus epidemic, as many were trapped in the four walls, but due to its light gameplay, this is the perfect choice for this fall season if we have a Switch.
5. Spirit City: Lofi Sessions
We go on with perhaps the most special piece of our collection, as Mooncube Games 2024, Spirit City: Lofi Sessions, is not a video game in a traditional sense. We can create our avatar, who then spends his everyday life in his own little Cozy room, which can be furnished and modified, with soul animals that can be collected. Meanwhile, Chilles Lofi music is played in the background. But Spirit City’s real specialty is that this is actually a gamification tool where we can make our own list of our tasks, set a timer, and the more tasks we do in the game – and in reality – the more goodness we can do for our virtual self. If someone is struggling with attention, maybe ADHD, and the concentration is difficult for them, then not only in the autumn season, Spirit City is a great choice.
6. Don’t Starve Together
- Platform: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch
A bit of a cuckoo egg is the excellent Don Starve multiplayer, as Klei’s 2016 adventure is actually a survival game that can be seen as horror as it often gives you quite Creepy things to the player. In the meantime, however, there is a unique Cozy atmosphere that makes it smoothly on our list. With its dark, randomly generated world, its gaming and struggle gameplay, Don Starve Together offers an excellent cooperative experience, as it has virtually everything that made the base game big, you can only enjoy it together. If you want to play with Halloween, something that brings the autumn and frightening mood at the same time, then it is clearly worth looking at this curiosity.
7. Night in the Woods
- Platform: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS
Infinite Fall has delivered a very special piece for us in 2017 that we can often get together when we are specifically looking for Cozy titles. Night in the Woods is about a young girl, Mae, who is expelled from college, then forced to travel home to the hometown, Possum Springs, where she realizes that she has changed quite a lot while she was away. So his former, literal animal friends, who have to make serious decisions on the story, return to the life of a girl in her parents’ attic, and if that weren’t enough, something is in the woods. We don’t tell us. There is a spectacular scenery, a dark plot and a deep story awaiting those who give a chance to this special adventure.
8. Life Is Strange
- Platform: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS
Don Nod’s 2015, a very recognized adventure, is moving on a rather similar line, which has since become a finished franchise, but there is no doubt that the first part is one of the most special. The protagonist of this is Max Caulfield, who returns home to Arcadia Bay in Oregon in the fall to go to school, but he runs not only with his former girlfriend, Chloe, but also gains a supernatural power to spin time. So the young girl, who has to face the drama of everyday life, gets involved in bizarre adventures, and the player can get to know her story for five episodes, which is full of emotional moments, important decisions and an excellent soundtrack atmosphere, which is probably a long time.
9. Potion Permit
- Platform: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS
Award-winning adventure is Masshive Media’s 2022 role play, which helps Moonbury’s surprisingly sick residents by controlling an alchemist. After examining the symptoms, we need to decide what kind of medicinal drinks will need patients and then go to the wild to collect the raw materials needed for drooling, while protecting ourselves from the dangers of the wild. And if that wasn’t enough, we can make friends with the locals, develop the city, or decide to just enjoy the surprisingly relaxed world of retro graphics that Potion Permit brings to us. A little Stardew Valley, a bit of an alchemist simulator, but it is completely easy to travel.
10. Firewatch
- Platform: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch
We close our collection with the Campo Santo 2016 miracle, which is not in the autumn but in the spring, but it is a great choice to experience an adventure with a fundamentally quiet and calm gameplay with a deep story. To control our hero from the lonely tower of potential forest fires, Henry, we can immerse us in Wyoming’s cozy wild wildlife, while our only company Delilah, who is speaking to us through the transceiver, can discover more and more special locations in the area. Meanwhile, more and more secrets are revealed, because although Firewatch is really a cozy Cozy walk simulator, it has not accidentally collected a lot of nominations and prizes at the time, there is more than the first one.
They also deserve to be mentioned:
- A Highland Song
- Bear and Breakfast
- Blood Bar Tycoon
- Calico
- Coral Island
- Costume Quest
- Cozy Time
- Dorfromantik
- Palala
- Lake
- Lemon Cake
- The Last Campfire
- Unpacking
- What Remains of Edith Finch
