The annual Apple Keynote event is fast approaching, and anticipation is building for the unveiling of several highly anticipated products.

Apple is expected to hold its annual back-to-school conference on Tuesday, September 9th, where they are predicted to reveal the new iPhone 17, along with other exciting products. Among the potential announcements is a rumored “iPhone 17 Air,” designed to compete with Samsung in the ultra-thin smartphone market.

The event will be streamed live on Apple’s official website and their YouTube channel around 7 p.m. on September 9th. The event’s logo has already been released, offering hints about what to expect.

A Nod to “Liquid Glass” Design

The Keynote invitation seems to hint at the “Liquid Glass” design expected for future iPhones,iPads,and Macs. The iPhone 17 is expected to be the star of the show, with four models anticipated: the standard iPhone 17, the Pro and pro Max versions, and the rumored iPhone 17 Air, perhaps Apple’s thinnest smartphone yet.

With an alleged thickness between only 5.5 and 6 mm,it would compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and its 5.8 mm thick.

The September Keynote is always highly anticipated due to the unveiling of the new iPhone. This year, the iPhone 17 is expected to come in several versions. The “iPhone 17 Air” is rumored to be between 5.5 and 6 mm thick, directly challenging the Samsung Galaxy S25 edge, which is 5.8 mm thick. In addition to its design,the iPhone 17 Air is expected to feature Apple’s latest technologies,including the A19 chip,a 120 Hz ProMotion display,and a 48-megapixel main camera sensor.

While the presence of AirPods Pro 3 at the Keynote is still a rumor, Apple is expected to introduce several improvements with this new generation.

Software and AI

On the software front, Apple is expected to provide more details about iOS 26 and its new design, as well as its advancements in artificial intelligence, embodied by Apple Intelligence. Rumors suggest that Apple AI will offer new advanced features for photography (real-time retouching, magic eraser) and a generally improved user interface, addressing concerns about iOS 25’s limited AI capabilities.
