A new neighborhood park is being built on Hafnerstraße in the district of Straßgang: In the past few months, the city of Graz has created a 5,700 square meter park in the past few months, which is officially opened in autumn. The park was named after Martha Stadler (1942-2004). Stadler, born in Edelsgrub, was a co -founder of the Graz women’s initiative in March 1980 and campaigned significantly for the protection of violence of women and children. Thanks to their commitment, the first Graz women’s shelter with 30 places was opened at the end of 1981 and later expanded.
