LONDON- Together- The Irish rap team “Nikap” announced the cancellation of its musical tour in the United States next October, which included 15 shows, due to the trial of one of its members before the British judiciary on charges of “terrorism”.

Liam Aug or Hanai, known for his artistic name “Mu Chair”, is accused of raising the Hezbollah flag during a concert in London in November 2024, where he was charged last May under the British “Anti -Terrorism Law” that criminalizes showing symbols that might be understood as support for banned organizations.

The team, based in Belfast, said that the flag was thrown on the stage by the audience during the show, but the date of the hearing on September 26 from the beginning of the American tour made it impossible to proceed with the performances.

In a statement posted on “Instagram”, the team described the procedures against it as a “political pursuit”, adding: “Unfortunately, we will have to cancel all our 15 concerts in the United States because of the next court session in London.”
