The list of price fighters who want to challenge Oleksandr Usyk are long. So far, nobody has had a once hot World Cup candidate who hiked to the jail in the nineties.
In the 1990s, Ike IbaBuchi was considered a heavyweight, to whom the stuff was said to be world champion. The “President” from Nigeria beat David Tua and Chris Byrd two strong top people and screwed his professional blazing to 20 victories without defeat in 15 Knockouts. A (World Cup) fight against big names such as Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson or Evander Holyfield only seemed a matter of time.
However, IbaBuchi suffered from psychological problems and committed serious crimes. He was arrested in 1999 because he had held a call girl in his hotel room in Las Vegas. He was later sentenced to a long prison sentence that only ended in 2015.
Six years later, IbaBuchi was deported to his homeland Nigeria – surrounded by rumors that he kept fit in prison and could return to the ring.
The now 52-year-old IbaBuchi actually gave his comeback at the weekend. In his homeland Lagos, he beat Box-Nobody Idris Afinni through technical KO in the third round. Category: Fair boxes.
Ike IbaBuchi wins at comeback and demands Usyk
Unsurprisingly, the Nigerian then verbally hit the timpani and challenged heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
“I want to box, the champion. My balance is 21 too zero, 16 Knockouts – why can’t he fight against me,” said IbaBuchi at “Fight Gist Media”.
He had previously had entered the top ten and love to fight it. “I want him before the time runs, I want to use usyk.”
That this happens is of course as likely as a social media post Donald Trumps without capital letters. The aim of the pussy is to somehow come to one or two pay days. These will not take place on a large stage.
