APP – IBTISSAM DAIF, you chair Universal Distrib, a GSOE – Solidarity group of economic operators – which you qualify as ethics. Concretely, this translates how ?

IBTISSAM DAIF – Our basic postulate is that our commitment to development must be in high impact not only economic, but also ecological and social. This in order to help meet the urgent challenges that many countries where we intervene are confronted. We hold a lot there, we consider that it is a form of justice which we are indebted to these countries.

App – Should your consortium members comply with an ethical charter ?

Ibtissam Daif – Yes, of course ! We have a charter that obliges companies to demonstrate that they work for the good of humanity … It seems a big word, but it is a reality.

Our approach is part of a win-win partnership, with in particular the transfer of technologies to perpetuate local actors permanently.

We can make profit while being an ethical business. It is not antinomic !

App – Do you want to give us an example ?

IBTISSAM DAIF – We are much cheaper than all technologies today present on the market and which aim to really make profit on products intended for primary needs such as water, agriculture, roads …

Our technologies provide financial, economic and social freedom where they are developed. That is to say in fact, there is no bidding on the innovative technologies that we bring.

This allowed countries that did not have the possibility of accessing drinking water and for cultures, and thus developing their agricultural management, with a view to food sovereignty. With our companies, they access these services faster, and by spending less.

APP – Among the fairly extraordinary products offered by Universal Distrib, there is Barbary Plante®, whose water needs are reduced by 80 %…

Ibtissam Daif – Yes, 80 % water saving and sometimes even more. Barbary Plant® – named after its inventor, Dr Salah Barbary-is a hydro-fertilizer that will remember its volume of water more than 500 times. It has already proven itself – certified by global reports and the food bank – in more than 80 countries.

It is an innovative and patented solution, intended to improve water management, soil fertility and agricultural productivity. It combines a slow liberation fertilizer (NPK, DAP, Urée) and a biodegradable hydro-retirement polymer capable of storing and restoring humidity and nutrients according to the needs of the plant.

Its properties take care of the earth, which improves over time, and allow you to obtain a yield three times faster and more important than what one would have without it. Inevitably, this generates water savings, and also in terms of pollution, since the engines are used less for irrigation.

.

App – In which countries the Barbary Plante® is established ?

Ibtissam Daif – Barbary Plante® is broadcast in 85 countries and on all continents – Europe, Africa, Americas, Asia. There, we have just signed with Brazil, in the context of an important reforestation in progress.

App – and in Africa, more precisely ?

Ibtissam Daif – We have just made a good progress in Burkina Faso where the Council of Ministers validated, on July 30, the acquisition of almost 13 million euros in Barbary Plante® as part of the national day 2025 of the tree and reforestation activities … We are also already present in Cameroon, Benin, in the two Congo, in Côte d’Ivoire …

App – and in Morocco ?

IBTISSAM DAIF – In Morocco also La Barbary Plante® has long been marketed there by a person who had the license, but who left to join his family in the United States. Suddenly, I resumed this license exclusively for its development in Morocco. Currently, we are in the signature of agreements with national federations.

APP – Among the other products that you have already marketed in Morocco, there is Magic Road® and Lumino Paint®. What are their advantages ?

IBTISSAM DAIF – In fact, in Morocco we are already marketing all our products: Barbary Plante®, as we have already mentioned, and also Clean Water®, Magic Road® and the Lumino Paint®, these last two products being moreover complementary…

Magic Road® Technology is a very efficient process of stabilization and soil compaction. It increases the value of the load plate, making the water resistant to water and mechanical loads. This technology makes it possible to redo the roads in a very quickly and much more economical way. We guarantee stability over fifteen years, so much more than the usual four or five years.

.

As an accompaniment, the signage of the road we offer is based on a photoluminescent painting, Lumino Paint® which captures solar light during the day and restores it at night for ten hours. Lumino Paint® reduced to 80 % energy consumption for public lighting. Resistant to bad weather, it extends the life of infrastructure and helps reduce CO₂ emissions thanks to better light management … so no need for civil engineering expenses to install lighting posts.

This painting makes it possible to identify and secure any devoid of lighting. Its optimal visibility is also materialized in the most total darkness. Lumino Paint® is a continuity of security presence, where electricity production stops.

App – What countries have already adopted your innovative products ?

Ibtissam Daif – As I said, we are present in 85 countries, on all continents, from Sweden to Brazil and Malaysia, Belgium and Spain – where we have already built 3,000 roads – to Morocco, Cameroon and several other African countries …

APP – You also distribute the Clean Water® system, created by the Swiss company Planète Constructions, led by one of your members, Avni Nasufoski, who is also ambassador to the United Nations for the Pan -African EAA Intergovernmental Agency. How Clean Water works ?

IBTISSAM DAIF – Clean Water®, is an innovative multi -level filtration system eliminating bacteria, viruses, heavy metals and microparticles, and producing safe drinking water in a few minutes, even in the most precarious conditions – including in full desert, where it captures the humidity of the night at night to produce drinking water, available in the next morning.

App – It’s great, but this system can adapt to different volumes of populations to serve ? For example a camp of 100 people or a city of thousands of inhabitants ?

Ibtissam Daif – Yes, absolutely.

We develop advanced solutions to produce drinking water, adapted to all environments and all scales (1).

Our technologies are evolving and capable of producing up to several million liters of drinking water per day, as needed.

APP-Now let’s talk about you, if you don’t mind … At the end of July, you participated as a rider in a cultural and traditional event in your region of origin, the Oriental, in the northeast of Morocco. What was it ?

Ibtissam Daif – Yes, I am very honored to have been invited to the Xe Regional Local Product Fair, organized from July 25 to 31 in Saïdia, also called the pearl of the Mediterranean.

It is a prestigious event, placed under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, the Chamber of Agriculture of the Oriental Region and the Regional Directorate of the Agricultural Council. The fair, which brought together more than 300 cooperatives, brilliantly highlighted the richness and authenticity of the Moroccan agricultural sector.

Our ADEDRO association (had the immense privilege of participating in the IIIe edition of TBOURIDA – which literally means “ The art of cannon powder », And which is called in France the Moroccan fantasia, immortalized by the paintings of Eugène Delacroix.

A grand spectacle of cavalry, the Tbourida closes the living room. It illustrates the heritage of the Moroccan tribes, celebrates the nobility of the horse beard – ancient and emblematic race of the Maghreb – and embodies a secular tradition, a living symbol of the identity and the pride of an entire people.

APP – You have participated in TBOURIDA -FANTASIA, and you have received a prize. What title ?

Ibtissam Daif – From a very young age and in my Oriental region, I have always had the privilege and the great honor of being the only woman, among the tribes, to be rising with men. My grandparents, my great-grandparents already practiced Tbourida, so here, I inherited this passion … and the recognition of the other tribes that I thank.

The price was given to me by Kamel Serrar, from the management of ONCA, which I would like to warmly thank. This distinction was assigned to me as president of ADEDRO Association for the encouragement of TBOURIDA in the Oriental region.

With ADEDRO, we work for the valuation of TBOURIDA and for the transmission of this living heritage to new generations.

We also encourage, and with great conviction, the creation of Female Sorba in our region. Because, as elsewhere in Morocco, women have their place in the preservation and practice of our equestrian traditions.

Female sorba active in several regions of the kingdom are a fine example of commitment while respecting our roots. It is an honor for us too, to contribute to this beautiful common story.

APP – So you were born from Moroccan parents, in the Oriental region, and you grew up in France. How do you express this double culture ?

Ibtissam Daif – It’s a great chance, I summarize it in a sentence: I have a French heart and a Moroccan soul.

Because I grew up in France where I arrived at the age of 2 – and I thank France for everything it could bring me – and at the same time, you will not find any Moroccan in the world, whatever the place where he lives, who will not have in his genes the feeling of his Moroccanity. We are in any case proud of our membership, very proud.

But also, Morocco and France are my two parents, I love them both ! Especially since my grandfather and my paternal great-grandfather, made the two world wars for France, my great-grandfather received the Legion of Honor during the First World War and my father was a pupil of the nation, his father dead on the battlefield of the Ardennes, in 1944. France, we wear it in our heart as in our family history. It is very important, too. So I am Moroccan and French, and I am proud to be both.

APP – Your feeling about the recent strengthening of the strategic partnership between your two countries ?

Ibtissam Daif – France and Morocco have maintained a deep and unwavering relationship of deep friendship for centuries. In many ways, we could say that we form a large family, united by history, including in its darkest hours, when Moroccan soldiers courageously fought alongside France.

As in any family, differences can arise, even temporary tensions. But this never calls into question the fundamental links that unite our two nations. Because between Morocco and France, there is no question of division, but loyalty, respect and shared destiny.

This exceptional relationship distinguished itself once again during the state visit of the French president to Morocco, on October 28, 29 and 30, 2024, at the invitation of His Majesty King Mohammed VI – may God assist him.

On this occasion, a “ Strengthened exceptional partnership “Was made between our two countries, marking a new stage in our cooperation.

This partnership is based on three priorities:

> Political and strategic convergence in the face of global challenges ;

> A deepening of economic and social cooperation ;

> And a common commitment to culture, education and an open and shared Francophonie.

But what you really have to understand is that Moroccans remain deeply attached to their monarchy. His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, is a sovereign close to his people, attentive, present, and deeply committed to the progress of the country.

In twenty-six years of reign, the advances it has brought are remarkable. Morocco has changed its scale, modernized its infrastructure, strengthened its economy, and affirmed its place on the international scene.

Today, the kingdom has become a real gateway to Africa. The whole world is interested in it, invests, and salutes its political and economic stability. It is a success that Moroccans are very proud. A magnificent inspiring trajectory

App – Let’s talk about the XIXe Conference of Paris ambassadors, in which you participate on October 14, and of which you are the main sponsor. What is your motivation ?

Ibtissam Daif – We are very happy to be able to participate and to co -produce with Africapress.Paris this XIXe Conference of the ambassadors of Paris, which will be held in the magnificent amphitheater Jacques Coeur du Campus Champerret de l’Escp – the prestigious School of Commerce de Paris.
