The 1985 film “Clue,” a comedic murder mystery based on the board game “Clue” (or “Cluedo”), is making a return to cinemas to mark its 40th anniversary. The film, celebrated as a classic, features a stellar cast including Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, Lesley ann Warren, and Eileen Brennan.

Ahead of the release of a new 4K UHD Steelbook disc on October 7th, paramount is re-releasing “Clue” in theaters from August 26th to 28th.

A Different Ending Each Night

A key feature of this re-release is that each night will present a different ending. The original 1985 theatrical release randomly assigned one of three possible endings to each cinema audience.

Subsequent home releases on VHS, DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K have included all three endings sequentially. It is expected that this re-release will follow the same format, presenting a different ending each night.

Tickets are currently available for purchase. Cinemark has released a poster reminiscent of the original 1985 theatrical release poster.
