Summer temperatures, radiant faces, and the happiness of 40 young judoka and their supervisors made the tent camp in Medelon a lively experience from June 13th to 15th, 2025.

The program offered a wide range of activities that provided a lot of joy and variety. A special highlight was the water slide, which caused enthusiasm with an exuberant water action. At the happy “Aqua battle“,nobody really stayed dry-and that was a good thing,because in summer temperatures the cooling was more than welcome.

There was also a lot of laughter in the popular game “herzblatt” and in the exciting quiz round, in which not onyl team spirit but also judo knowledge was required.In the evening, the camp turned into a small open-air cinema: popcorn, crepes, and cotton candy ensured real cinema feeling in the open air.

If you wanted to move even more, you got your money’s worth at the DiscoFox dance course, football, or early sports. A special highlight was the local rally, a scavenger hunt across Medelon, which caused a lot of tension and joy in discovery.

The meanwhile, of course, coudl not be missing the now iconic tent camp shirts of the Judo Club Holzwickede. They are a sought-after memorial every year and strengthen the sense of community among all participants.

In the evening it became cozy: everyone enjoyed the guitar music at the campfire, while the night watch with marshmallows provided a special atmosphere. “The campfire is always my highlight!” Said a participant enthusiastically while roasting Marshmallows. A birthday party with homemade cakes provided additional joy. In the “Stratego” off-road game, team spirit and strategic thinking were again in demand-and everyone was great.

The physical well-being was also well taken care of. Particularly noteworthy is the commitment of René Sorge, who spoiled the participants with freshly prepared pizza from his mobile pizza oven.Under the Instagram name “Renes_Pizza_Place”, he offers high-quality pizzas that were very well received by everyone. For many,the freshly baked pizza was the culinary highlight-and René’s commitment as a pizza sponsor was celebrated enthusiastically by everyone. Thank you very much, René!
