New Mexico National Guard Activated to Combat silver City Wildfire

The National Guard of New Mexico has mobilized soldiers and aviators to assist in battling the forest fire impacting the Silver City region.
Units from Rio Rancho, Albuquerque (Kirtland Air Force base), and Las Cruces have been dispatched to Silver City to aid in evacuation efforts and are ready to take on additional tasks as needed.
