CCTV footage allegedly captured the accused teenager and three other teenage boys returning to the home of the victim, identified as Gordon, around 4:55 a.m., according to the prosecutor. The court was told the teenagers concealed thier faces with balaclavas or masks and wore gloves. They removed their shoes before re-entering the house.

Shortly after the teenagers re-entered the house, one of them reportedly yelled “get out” to the others before Gordon was heard saying “hello boys”, according to court testimony. The group then fled, with Gordon in pursuit on foot.

The court was informed that Gordon and his housemate discussed who shoudl contact the police. The doctor allegedly stated, “We’ll call them in a sec. We need to get our stuff back.”

The housemate, identified as Standing, then called triple zero as Gordon chased the intruders. Gordon then entered his Mercedes and drove around the area in search of the teenagers. upon spotting three of them, he stopped his car and pursued the accused teenager into a nearby driveway.

Amelia Beech,the lawyer representing the accused teenager,told jurors that the prosecution’s statements were allegations,not evidence,and that the intent to kill Gordon with murderous intent had not been proven.
