Charleston Southern‘s Kaden Smith earns postseason recognition after a record-breaking season, named to the ABCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team.
The postseason accolades continue for Kaden Smith of the Charleston Southern baseball team. On Tuesday, he was named to the ABCA Second-Team All-Atlantic Region. He is the third player in program history to recieve this honor,the frist sence Bobby Ison adn alex tomasovich in 2014.
Smith was chosen as a designated hitter, a role he primarily filled during the 2025 season for Charleston Southern.He was previously named Second-Team All-Conference and earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team at the Big South Championships.
This season, he was instrumental in the team breaking eight offensive records. He finished the year with a .356 batting average over 50 games. His on-base percentage was .456, and his slugging percentage was .670. He recorded 18 doubles and 14 home runs.
His 79 RBIs this spring exceeded the previous school record by more than 30. During the final weekend of the regular season against Gardner-Webb, he hit five doubles, tying the NCAA single-game record. He became the ninth player in national history to achieve this and the first since 2019.
