The football community is in mourning after the tragic death of Marek Kosút, a former player who passed away following a fall.

The Slovak football world is reeling from the death of Marek Kosút, a 36-year-old former footballer. Details surrounding his death are still emerging, but reports indicate that he died after a fall from a balcony.

Kosút began his career in a small village near Považská Bystrica. at the age of eighteen, he joined Nitra, a team in Slovakia’s top league, where he scored his first goal, securing a victory against Ružomberk.

During that period, he also became a member of the Slovak youth national teams, making his debut for the under-19 team in a match against Sweden.

While his early career showed promise, he went on to record sixteen appearances in the top league and thirteen in the second league. Besides Nitra, he also played for teams such as Sharing, New Castles, and Slovan Galanta.

The former football striker’s life came to an end late last week. News of košút’s tragic death spread quickly on social media.
