The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints continues its global expansion with new temples.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has unveiled architectural renderings for temples to be constructed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Chihuahua, Mexico. The location for the chihuahua temple was also revealed.
Chihuahua Mexico Temple
According to an official announcement, the Chihuahua Mexico Temple will occupy a 5.87-acre plot at the intersection of avenida de la Cantera and Avenida Real Escondido in Reserva Territorial la Hacienda, Chihuahua. The planned structure is a single-story building encompassing approximately 19,000 square feet.
This will become the third temple in the state of Chihuahua. Across Mexico, there are currently 27 temples in various phases, from planning to operation.

Buenos Aires City Center Argentina Temple

The Buenos Aires City Center Argentina Temple, previously announced as the second temple in the city, will be situated on a 1.56-acre location at Avenida Cordoba Esquina Reconquista in Buenos Aires. While the exact dimensions are yet to be disclosed,the rendering suggests a multistory design.
This will mark the seventh temple in Argentina, with three temples having been dedicated since 2024. the Salta and Mendoza temples were dedicated in June and September 2024, respectively.
