Francesco Bagnaia’s third-place finish at the Aragon MotoGP 2025 marked a significant moment for both the rider and ducati.The team expressed relief as they pinpointed a solution to address the racer’s ongoing challenges.

Since the start of the 2025 MotoGP season, Bagnaia had struggled with confidence, particularly with the front end of his motorbike, hindering his ability to maximize cornering speeds.

His performance had been suboptimal, with a noticeable decline throughout the season. Prior to Aragon, he had only managed to secure four points from three sprint races and the preceding two main races.

The Italian rider failed to score points at the french MotoGP sprint and finished 16th overall. In the subsequent race in England, the two-time world champion finished sixth in the sprint but did not complete the main race.

At Aragon, Bagnaia, who began the race in fourth position, initially dropped back, finishing 12th and missing out on points. Though, in the main MotoGP race on Sunday, he achieved a notable result, securing third place.

This turnaround can be attributed to subtle yet impactful modifications made to the front of his Desmosedici GP25. While Ducati team manager davide tardozzi remained tight-lipped about the specifics, he conveyed his satisfaction at seeing Bagnaia regain confidence.

Bagnaia engaged in a battle with Aprilia’s Pedro Acosta early in the Aragon 2025 MotoGP, successfully holding him off. He also briefly narrowed the gap with Alex Marquez, before opting to maintain his position.

“we are very happy for Pecco as he seems to have returned and we are very happy because the engineers have worked in the last few races to try to find more comfort in the area in front of the motorbike,” he was quoted as saying by Crash.

“Only a few changes ahead. I don’t want to reveal it,maybe Pecco will say. But whatever it is, I think it is something that never occurred to us before.”

“After talking with him yesterday, the race technician has this idea and finally it works. So let’s see if we can increase this area tomorrow (mid -season test),” added Tardozzi.

“We are very happy for Pecco because he seems to have returned.”
