Wavegarden partners with HTX Surf to introduce patented Cove technology to Texas, offering a variety of wave types for inland surfers.

Surfing, traditionally confined to coastal areas, is making its way inland thanks to innovative wave pool technology. A new project in Houston, Texas, promises to bring the thrill of riding waves to the heart of America.

Wave pool technology leader Wavegarden has announced a partnership with HTX surf to develop a new surf park in Houston. the park will feature Wavegarden’s patented Cove technology, equipped with a 52-module system capable of generating 20 different types of waves, varying in size and power.

HTX Surf will also feature a membership club, leisure amenities, and a restaurant and bar. While an exact construction start date is yet to be announced, HTX Surf has indicated a target completion date of late 2027.

Wavegarden’s Expanding Portfolio

Wavegarden is expanding its reach in the wave pool market. Following the proclamation of the HTX Surf project,they unveiled their largest pool to date,Beyond the club: São Paulo,featuring an updated Cove system with enhancements to the reef,barrel,and air waves. Gabriel Medina has already showcased the potential of this new system.

Beach Street Developments is also working on other projects, including Atlantic Park in Virginia Beach, slated to open this summer, and DSRT Surf in Coachella Valley, expected to open in early 2026.
