Cody Rhodes has made his return to WWE, immediately setting his sights on John Cena.

During Saturday Night’s Main Event, jey Uso was on the verge of defeating Logan Paul when Cena interfered, pulling the referee out of the ring to attack Uso. Rhodes intervened, delivering a crossrhodes to Cena. Uso capitalized on the distraction,spearing and splashing Paul to retain the World Heavyweight title.

As Cena and Paul retreated, Rhodes addressed the crowd, noting Cena’s apparent alliance with Paul and his own bond with Uso. He then challenged them to a tag team match at Money in the Bank on June 7.

Rhodes had been absent from WWE programming since his defeat by Cena for the WWE title at WrestleMania 41. During that match, Rhodes hesitated to use the WWE title as a weapon against Cena after dealing with Travis Scott’s interference. Cena recovered, delivering a low blow and striking Rhodes with the title to secure his record-breaking seventeenth world title reign.

Earlier on Saturday, cena defeated R-Truth in a non-title match following a low blow. Backstage, Cena encountered Uso and expressed his concern that a Youtuber like Paul winning the title would be detrimental to wrestling, a sentiment cena has voiced since his heel turn at Elimination Chamber.

“It seems Paul has a partner in Cena and he has a brother in Uso.”
