Get ready to revisit Pandora! Later this year, James Cameron will release Avatar: Fire & Ash. In anticipation, and to boost box office numbers, Disney is re-releasing The Way of Water in theaters.

The sequel will have a limited theatrical run from October 3 to October 10. As of now, Disney has not announced any additional content, such as extended scenes or a sneak peek of Fire & Ash. However, fans may enjoy seeing the film on the big screen again, especially in 3D and IMAX formats.

After a 13-year wait, Avatar: The Way of Water premiered in 2022 to positive reviews and meaningful box office success. It has grossed $2.320 million, making it the third-highest-grossing film of all time, behind Avengers: Endgame and the original Avatar. The first Avatar was re-released in theaters three times between the two movies: in 2010 and 2022 before Water’s release, and exclusively in China in 2021. this marks the first re-release for The Way of Water. with the increasing trend of re-releases, this may not be the last time we see the Sully family and the Metkayina clan on the big screen.
