Lucas Auer Secures Victory at lausitzring DTM Race

Lucas Auer clinched his second win of the DTM season, showcasing a dominant performance at the Lausitzring. The race saw intense battles and strategic pit stops, ultimately leading to Auer’s triumph.
The race at the Lausitzring witnessed Lucas Auer leading the pack, securing his second DTM victory of the season. Following closely behind was Foig, with Rene Rast of Schubert BMW claiming third place after a strong start from fifth on the grid. Jules Gounon, Marco Wittmann, and Thomas Preining completed the top six.
Auer, driving for landgraf Mercedes, maintained his lead from the start. Ricardo Feller initially held second position but was overtaken by Engel. The midfield experienced considerable turmoil, with Morris Schuring‘s manthey Porsche sustaining notable front-end damage and Luca anxiety being forced to retire early due to issues with his Grasser Lamborghini.
Following a brief safety car period, Auer continued to lead, trailed by Engel, Rast, and Feller. While several drivers in the midfield opted for early pit stops, the leading group extended their frist stint. Engel executed an overcut, briefly taking the lead from Auer.
Though, Auer, with his tyres reaching optimal temperature, quickly reclaimed the lead. Feller’s race was hampered by a mechanical problem with his Audi, causing him to drop out of contention.

Auer successfully defended his lead against Engel for the remainder of the race, securing his second victory of the season and reclaiming the lead in the championship standings.
