Furthermore, Mercogliano is accused of providing the student with medicinal marijuana on approximately 15 occasions.

Communication between the teacher and the student reportedly took place via Snapchat and text messages, facilitating meetings and the alleged drug provision.The prosecution claims Mercogliano even took the student to a dispensary to purchase medicinal marijuana.

Superintendent Richard Gusick communicated to the community that Mercogliano has been terminated from her position at Conestoga High School and is barred from all district properties. Mercogliano’s employment history includes a prior role at Hillside Elementary School from 2019 to 2024, before joining Conestoga High School in the fall.
