The Easter long weekend has been marred by a series of tragic drowning incidents along the New South Wales coastline,resulting in six fatalities. Wattamolla Tragedy: One Dead, One Teenager Hospitalized

On Sunday, emergency services responded to a distress call at Wattamolla, south of Sydney, where two individuals were struggling in the surf. While rescue crews managed to pull both from the water, one man was pronounced dead at the scene. A teenage boy, also rescued, was transported to a children’s hospital in Randwick and is currently in stable condition. Authorities are still working to formally identify the deceased, and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

The Wattamolla incident followed a string of earlier drownings.On Friday and Saturday, two fishermen lost their lives along the southern coast of New South Wales, while another fisherman drowned north of Sydney.
