Ministry of health Calls for Revocation of Doctor’s Registration Following Assault Allegations
In response to disturbing allegations of sexual assault, the Indonesian Ministry of Health has formally requested that the Indonesian Health Council (KKI) revoke the registration of Doctor PAPDS Unpad. The doctor is accused of assaulting a patient’s family member while working at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung.
As a firm first step, the Ministry of Health asked the KKI to instantly revoke the registration letter from Dr. PAP. PANR slaughter will automatically cancel the dr. PAP (SIP) letter of practice (SIP)aji Muhawarman, head of the Interaction and Public Information Office of the Ministry of Health
This action would effectively prevent the doctor from practicing medicine in Indonesia.
Details of the Alleged Assault
According to police reports, the alleged assault occurred on March 18, 2025. Police reports indicate that PAP (31 years old) allegedly assaulted the victim after administering a sedative. The victim was reportedly accompanying her critically ill father at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung.
Kombes Hendra Rochmawan, public relations manager for West Java police, stated that the suspect allegedly instructed the victim to undergo a blood transfusion without family accompaniment, leading her to a room within the hospital complex around 1:00 AM. The victim was then allegedly instructed to change into surgical attire, removing all clothing.
The suspect is accused of injecting the victim multiple times,reportedly up to 15 times,causing her to lose consciousness. The victim reported feeling a tear and experiencing discomfort when she regained consciousness several hours later.
Hospital and university Response
The Ministry of Health has expressed deep concern over the incident, emphasizing the importance of patient safety and ethical conduct within medical facilities. The individual in question has been dismissed from the Padjajaran University Studies program and is currently facing legal proceedings initiated by the West Java police.
Moreover, the director of Hasan Sadikin Hospital has been instructed to temporarily suspend the residency activities of the anesthesiology and intensive therapy specialization program for one month. This suspension aims to facilitate a thorough assessment and improvement of supervision and governance protocols in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine of UNPAD.
