Hyundai is set to release its second-generation Nexo hydrogen fuel cell crossover by the close of the year, marking a notable advancement in lasting automotive technology. This new model boasts enhancements across the board, from increased fuel capacity to improved performance and efficiency.

Enhanced Performance and Range

the updated Nexo features a more powerful electric motor, now delivering 204 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.This upgrade translates to a quicker acceleration time, reaching 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds, a notable advancement from the previous generation’s 9.2 seconds. The hydrogen fuel tank has also been enlarged,increasing its capacity from 6.33 kg to 6.69 kg. While seemingly a small increase, this allows the Nexo to achieve a remarkable driving range of 700 kilometers on a single fill – an increase of 100km.

This extended range addresses a key concern for potential hydrogen vehicle adopters: range anxiety. Wiht advancements like these, hydrogen vehicles are becoming increasingly practical for everyday use.
