A round table “Modern education is a strategic resource for the development of Dagestan” was held at the site of the Dagestan State University of National Economy (DSUNKh). The event took place on the eve of the reporting and program forum of the regional branch of United Russia “There is a result!” and became an important stage in collecting proposals for the updated People’s Program of the party.
The round table participants – teachers, deputies, representatives of relevant departments and the public – summed up the work of the education system over the past five years (2021–2025) and formulated more than 20 initiatives aimed at further development of the industry.
Elena Pavlyuchenko, regional coordinator of the party project “New School”, chairman of the People’s Assembly Committee on Education and Science of the Republic of Dagestan, made a report on the main achievements. She emphasized that education today is viewed not just as a social sphere, but as a key strategic resource for national development.
“Preschool, school, secondary vocational and higher education are parts of a unified system that educate and train new generations of Russian citizens. The quality, accessibility of education, equal opportunities for everyone determine our future, success and a decent human life,” she emphasized.
Over the past five years, the republic has carried out a large-scale modernization of its educational infrastructure:
“111 schools and 97 kindergartens were opened, major repairs were carried out in 374 schools, 63 kindergartens, 3 colleges. In addition, a network of 664 Growth Point centers has been created, 7 Quantorium technology parks and 8 IT cubes operate. A modern IT infrastructure has been created in 1,192 schools, all educational institutions are connected to high-speed Internet, and much more,” said the regional coordinator of the New School party project.
Particular attention was paid to patriotic education. Elena Pavlyuchenko gave vivid examples of working with preschoolers – from the military parade in the kindergarten “Rodnichok” in the village of Nechaevka, Kizilyurt district, to the opening of memorials with the procession of the “Immortal Regiment” in Kaspiysk, the projects “Part of the Hero” and “Faces of the Hero”, in which the republic is among the leading regions.
“Our victory is not a thing of the past. This is a living victory, directed towards the present and the future. We have not seen such dynamics in the construction and major repairs of educational facilities in our republic in all previous years. This is a big breakthrough, which would not have been possible without the constant control and personal participation of Sergei Alimovich and the party as a whole,” Pavlyuchenko noted.
During the discussion, the round table participants developed a package of initiatives that will be submitted for discussion at the main forum and proposed for inclusion in the new edition of the People’s Program. Offers cover all levels of education – from school to supporting student families.
Among the key proposals developed during the meeting:
— The participants proposed to achieve the inclusion of Dagestan in a pilot project, where graduates of the 9th grade will be guaranteed to receive budget-funded places in secondary vocational education institutions. This will allow training personnel to meet the needs of local enterprises and retain young people in the region.
— Introduce support measures (payments, housing assistance) to attract teachers to rural schools, as well as develop the institution of mentoring.
— Create military-patriotic education centers in municipalities, where young people will be able to attend training camps and classes on the basics of military training.
— Include children’s recreation facilities in the capital repair program to create comfortable and safe conditions.
— Create thematic platforms (space, biology, physics) to popularize science among children in a playful way.
The participants agreed that the achieved level is not a reason to slow down, but an incentive for further improvement. All proposals developed will be systematized and presented at the reporting and program forum of the regional branch of United Russia “There is a result!” for inclusion in the updated People’s Program.
