Oslo Tunnel Toll: Long Queues & Traffic Delays

On Tuesday morning, there were technical challenges with a barrier in the Opera Tunnel in Oslo.

The barrier would not lift and thus blocked one lane in the tunnel.

– Normally it resolves itself quickly, but it doesn’t today, said traffic operator Barbro Evensen to NRK.

At 07.42 the field in the tunnel was reopened.

However, the boom could not be fixed.

– We have created a temporary solution, so now all fields are open.

Several bus lines delayed

The Opera tunnel is a motorway tunnel that connects the E6 and E18.

Even if all fields are opened, there will be consequences

Evensen believes there will be delays until 10:00 on Tuesday morning.

– Just be patient, says the traffic operator.

Several buses are also delayed after the toll trouble.

Ruter’s pages show delays of up to 25 minutes on the westbound buses.

– Among other things, lines 31, 30, 54, 42 and 28, says Karoline Berg from Ruter.

She asks people to check the Ruter app regularly for updates.
