It was the subject of long and passionate discussions. Like every year for four years, the theme of the Rose Ball was decided by mutual agreement between the Princess of Hanover and his long-time friend, Christian Louboutin. For this 70th edition, the president of this charitable social event and the famous shoe designer have decided to send the 800 guests to the stars by focusing on the space universe. Just that! While the “Galaxy Rose Ball” will be held on March 21, 2026, excitement is starting to build at Sporting Monte Carlo where the final preparations are being finalized.
And there was some work to transform the place in a monochrome space shuttle adorned with multiple colored portholes. A journey resembling space exploration in which Christian Louboutin received valuable help from Benoît Miniou, a visionary creator “at the crossroads of research and imagination”, as explained by the Société des Bain de Mer (SBM), which organizes the event, in its press release. This production “will be, as always, very immersive and full of surprises”, promises us the French shoe designer who is signing his fifth Bal de la Rose here.
“We’re going to slide, we’re going to dance, we’re going to fly, we’re going to sing”
This galactic setting, complete with immersive light shows and lasers, promises to be spectacular. And very far from last year’s universe placed under the theme of Caribbean rhythms. What will guests be most amazed by during this anniversary edition? “The diversity of performances”, believes Christian Louboutin. “We’re going to slide, we’re going to dance, we’re going to fly, we’re going to sing, we’re going to have fun”entrusts us the creator with limitless imagination.
Because precisely, the show will not only be in the decor, but also on stage. In total, seven artists and groups will set the mood until the end of this cosmic night. Starting with the Rondò Veneziano group who will open the ball, before giving way to the famous dancers from Crazy Horse. The Kalinka ballet, a company of dancers and musicians of Russian and Slavic origin, will take over, followed by the Berlin company Dulce Compania, whose performance on stilts should surprise the guests, as will the internationally renowned duo of choreographers and artistic directors Céline and Cain Kitsaïs. Finally, Leee John and his iconic 1980s band Imagination will bring the finishing touch to this evening.
The final highlight of this 70th edition will of course be the traditional raffle hosted with panache, as every year, by Stéphane Bern. The funds raised will be intended for the Princess Grace Foundation watched over by Princess Caroline.
