The valuable quarter-final triumph of Karlovy Vary in Liberec tarnished the “performance” of individuals from the ranks of Energie fans. They presented themselves in the hall with vulgar allusions towards the opponent. The club responded to this with a statement, the majority owner Dušan Šenkypl also commented.
It was Šenkypl who commented on the vulgar individuals from among the guests in a comment on Facebook. The club also posted his words on the official website.
“We won on the ice today, but we lost in the audience. It was a great match with a happier ending for us. I’m sorry that our boilermaker slipped into so many profanities. Great respect, on the other hand, to the boilermaker and all the Liberec fans, who cheered great and without profanity. I apologize for myself, the club and I think the vast majority of decent HCE fans, and I look forward to all of us thoroughly enjoying the series.” stated Šenkypl.
“We won on the ice today, but we lost in the stands.”
The majority owner of Energia supplemented the comment with a statement in which she distanced herself from the indecent behavior of the fans: “Vulgarities, aggressive expressions or any behavior that disrupts a safe and respectful sports environment and fair play are in direct conflict with the values of our club. At the same time, we apologize to our opponents for the behavior of individual Energia fans today.”
? HC Energie Karlovy Vary strongly distances itself from the inappropriate behavior of individuals from among the fans, which occurred in connection with the first quarter-final match in Liberec. ?
