In the Chelyabinsk region, hundreds of students at transport universities found themselves without scholarships—the money for January and February simply did not reach the recipients. The total amount of debt approached 2 million rubles.

The situation moved forward only after the intervention of the Ural Transport Prosecutor’s Office. The audit showed that in a number of educational institutions, students were not paid either academic or social scholarships on time.

Future railway workers and aviation specialists were left without the required payments. The reason turned out to be trivial – the funds arrived at the universities with a delay.

After the violations were discovered, the prosecutor’s office issued warnings to the management of educational institutions and demanded urgent repayment of the debt.

As a result, the money was returned: more than 800 students received their scholarships in full.

The supervisory agency emphasized that the situation is under control. Now they promise to avoid such delays.
