In February, the sporting goods trade fell by 2.8% compared to February 2024. The activity was penalized by particularly unfavorable weather conditions : the month was exceptionally mild (2nd hottest February since 1900), very rainy (it had never rained so much in February since 1959) and marked by several episodes of floods and major floods. In this context, stores suffered (-3.5%) while E-Commerce continued to grow (+3.5%).
