Chatting with friends and colleagues, they strongly recommended that I go see Piramidal, knowing that I am not a fan of musicals, they anticipated it and almost shouted at me, yes, you are going to like it.. Having already seen the play, I tell you, just as I anticipate that I liked it a lot, so if you are from my club and don’t usually watch musicals, know that you are going to forget that it is a musical.
Now if you bought Libra or invested in Generación Zoe, the Cositorto pyramid maybe, just maybe, this is not a comfortable work for you. The work of QP Study and the entire cast is brilliant and allows us to put many variables into play while the laughter comes out in droves throughout the room, and we well know that with laughter everything flows better.
Although the work had its first inspiration or trigger in or from Generation Zoe, it is impossible not to think about Libra and Milei‘s participation in its dissemination. Another of the peculiarities of Piramidal is that it is part of a team of scriptwriters who in turn act in the work.
Beta, a content creator, will act as a guide and will mostly be the one who breaks the fourth wall to dialogue with the public. At the beginning he will tell us his thoughts on scams and scams, victims or perpetrators? Is it possible that a sect and society have similarities? The work invites us to think about the times we live in, where hundreds of influencers invite their audiences to climb countless pyramids, to be the architects of their success without working.
With Beta we will meet Ludovico Sitorrazo, the ontological coach who is in charge of the magical enterprise that promises to save everyone who attends his investment school or participates in his crypto.. Yes, I know it is an old, trite and overused phrase, but once again reality far surpasses fiction. Sitorrazo’s followers will be invited to participate in a business model that promises quick profits, exponential growth and a community of people convinced of having found the secret formula to prosperity. Yes, a symptom of the times.
The music of the play was composed by Teo López Puccio and it is great! Creative and impactful. The live band, made up of Teo himself, Cuki López and Camilo Santella, sounds super good. Needless to say, as a good musical, music and sound technique are a fundamental part. The lyrics are very good, I recommend going to listen to them on the profile qp studio spotify. (perhaps having some type of subtitling in the show would not be bad, I leave it as a concern)
In Ludovico and in several of the characters, countless social actors of our time are portrayed. The cast invites us to think and re-discuss what seemed to us to have closed minutes before, leading us to rethink the limits of period scams.
The work explores false entrepreneurship, the thin line between victims and perpetrators and leaves in the air the invitation to rethink the kind of moral sommeliers that we can become when we observe these stories from the outside, with the tranquility of believing ourselves immune to these pyramids. Don’t be scared, television hosts, influencers, streamers, media economists, members of the Judiciary and political leaders are also part of the show, in Piramidal all topics are covered.
As they told us in Nine Queens: “They are there, but you don’t see them. That’s what it’s about. They are there but they’re not there, so take care of the briefcase, the suitcase, the door, the window, the car. Take care of your savings. Take care of your ass, because they are there and they will always be there.” The scammers did not disappear, they just changed their tools.
This 4th season is the farewell season from Piramidal and it will be very brief, only 4 acts, I highly recommend not missing this trip, this invitation to think with laughter and, perhaps, dismantle some variables with pure humor.
