Thiruvananthapuram: A state-of-the-art cricket stadium built in Mullashery, Mangalapuram under the ownership of Kerala Cricket Association is about to be inaugurated. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the event on March 16 at 6 pm. Constructed at a cost of Rs 45 crore on 10 acres of land, the stadium has excellent facilities including an international standard cricket ground, pavilion complex and state-of-the-art floodlight system. Sports Department Minister V. Abdurrahman will perform.
Its manufacturing company is Signify (Philips), which has provided floodlights in major stadiums in the country. The construction of KCA State Academy, which will be started as part of the second phase of development, was inaugurated by Minister V. Shivankutty will perform. Minister G.R. inaugurated the construction of the indoor cricket training center where training can be done without interruption in the rain and at night. Anil will perform. KCA officials and people’s representatives will participate.
