[뉴스후=김정덕 기자] On the 9th, the Hanam branch of the Korean Senior Citizens’ Association held the 36th Senior College opening ceremony in the auditorium on the second floor of the Senior Welfare Center, attended by over 400 people, including Hanam Mayor Lee Hyeon-jae, members of each senior center, and students.
On this day, the opening ceremony was held in a variety of ways, including an official event and an orientation session including educational information about the senior college.
The senior college courses are 18 classes, including ▲ health program for health, yoga, health gymnastics, silver dance, silver choir, and singing class; ▲ traditional program for gogo janggu, Korean dance, and Nanta class; ▲ liberal arts program for Korean language class, English class, everyday English, guitar class, watercolor class, computer class (2 classes), calligraphy, and calligraphy. These classes will be held until December.
Hanam City Senior College was established as the first college in 1989 and is managed and operated by the Hanam City Branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association.
Mayor Lee Hyeon-jae said in a congratulatory address that day, “I congratulate the senior college on its opening ceremony and express my deep respect for their endless challenge for learning. I hope that the senior college will contribute to a happy retirement life.”
