30 days to submit a file to your insurer
Applications could be submitted until Friday February 28. Several municipalities affected by the floods have sent a request for recognition of the state of natural disasters to the Loire-Atlantique prefecture and the Ministry of the Interior. This recognition would allow individuals to be compensated under the natural disaster fund, as well as farmers who have suffered damage. Another commission will take place during the month of March
In all, forty-two municipalities have filed a CatNat (natural disaster) request for overflowing waterways and/or runoff and mudslides, detailed the Loire-Atlantique prefecture. All of these requests were transmitted by the prefecture to the General Directorate of Civil Security and Crisis Management (DGSCGC).
Residents and traders affected by the floods are invited to submit a file to their insurer within thirty days, attaching the order recognizing the state of disaster.
