At least 15 Brazilian states are on alert due to the arrival of a cyclone marked by intense rain. There is a risk of power cuts, falling trees and flooding in the North, Northeast and Southeast regions of the country. The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued an orange alert that starts to be valid for the entire Sunday (1st).

According to Inmet, there is a forecast of rain between 30 and 60 millimeters per hour or 50 and 100 millimeters per day, in addition to intense winds of up to 100 km/h. There is a risk of flooding.
The Inmet alert applies to parts of Minas Gerais, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Rondônia, Amazonas, Pará, Ceará, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Alagoas and Sergipe. As well as for the whole of Bahia, Tocantins, Piauí and Maranhão.
According to Metsul Meteorologia, the intense rain in these regions is caused by the formation of a cyclone.

Minas Gerais is under heavy rain days ago. According to g1, there are 69 deaths, 63 in Juiz de Fora and six in Ubá. Each of the cities also has two missing.
