At Agritechnica 2025, MAN Truck & Bus presented the MAN TGS 18.540 4×4 agricultural truck, a semi-trailer tractor specially designed for agricultural applications. Classified as an agricultural tractor, the MAN agricultural truck is ideally suited for logistical use between the field and the processing plant – even in difficult ground conditions. MAN Individual construction specialists took care of the powerful external appearance.
The latest version of the agricultural truck is part of MAN Engines’ comprehensive exhibition presence under the motto “Powering the green transformation – off-road solutions for the future”. The external engine division of MAN Truck & Bus presented innovative drive solutions for agricultural machinery – including upgraded diesel and gas engines, factory-rebuilt MAN off-road engines and the new MAN BatteryPack battery module for mobile and industrial all-electric drive applications.
“The MAN TGS agricultural truck is an example of the combination of drive technology expertise and superstructure manufacturing know-how – and shows how MAN handles the diverse transport requirements of modern agriculture in a comprehensive way. TECHNOLOGY FOR PRACTICE: STRONG AND SOIL CONDITIONING
The MAN TGS 18.540 4×4 BL SA is based on the well-proven D2676 engine with a displacement of 12.4 liters, 540 horsepower and meeting the Euro 6E emission standard.
The maximum torque of 2,650 Nm is available from 930 rpm and provides a powerful and efficient drive in all situations. The transmission of power is ensured by the automated MAN TipMatic 12-speed transmission, which has been specially tuned for off-road, performance- and efficiency-oriented modes. Thanks to the permanent all-wheel drive and the soil-friendly, wide agricultural tires, the truck is also excellently equipped for wet conditions and grassy areas. The load-sensing hydraulic system with a volume flow of up to 100 l/min and the drawbar trailer connection point with forced steering enable precise control of agricultural implements and trailers.

COMFORT AND SAFETY FOR THE DRIVER
The mid-length cab known as “NN” combines compact dimensions, robust design and a high degree of practicality. It offers optimal visibility, comfortable entry and sufficient storage space – ideal for agricultural applications. The agricultural truck stands out visually with the MAN TGS INDIVIDUAL LION S package, which combines functional elements such as LED high beam headlights with design elements in carbon and red. The driver-focused, intuitive MAN SmartSelect control interface – which enables safe use even with strong superstructure movements – together with the 12.3-inch Professional instrument unit provides a modern and ergonomic work environment. Additional safety is provided by the Lane Departure Assist (LRA), the reversing camera system and the adaptive cruise control ACC Stop and Go. The MAN PriTarder high-performance engine brake with EVBec system provides a deceleration force of up to 625 kW – ideal for heavy loads and steep slopes.

The MAN agricultural truck also has a ROPS rollover protection frame behind the cab. This increases the resistance of the cab in the event of overturning or overturning.
FLEXIBILITY IN USE
The TGS is equipped with both a fifth wheel structure and a cantilever trailer towing system, making it suitable for various transport tasks. Being approved as a LOF vehicle (agricultural or forestry) provides practical benefits such as the removal of the Sunday driving ban and the obligation to have a tachograph.
