As you may already know, Samsung started to roll out the February 2026 Android security update to five Galaxy S25 smartphones, the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, and S25 FE quite recently. That same update also started going out to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 yesterday. Well, the time has come for one other Samsung phonethe Galaxy Z TriFold.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is now getting the February 2026 Android security update
The rollout started in South Koreaas it did for all the aforementioned devices. This month’s security patch is arriving a bit later than usual, as it’s almost the end of the month. This update will quickly spread to other markets, but chances are, not everyone will get it before the end of the month.
Even when it arrives in your region, do note that the update is rolling out in stages. So, it may not arrive on your phone straight away; you’ll need to be patient.
The update for the Galaxy Z TriFold weighs 528MB, at least in South Korea. That could differ a bit in other markets, of course, but not by much. It never ends up weighing much more or less in other markets.
This update is all about a security boost
This update is all about security improvements. There are no new features to speak about here, actually. That is what we expected, however. One UI 8.5 will be the update with new features, and it’s coming soon. It’ll debut with the Galaxy S26 series tomorrow.
It usually takes Samsung only days to expand its updates to various markets, so the same will likely happen with these two updates. You can expect it to spread across the globe very soon.
