Snow Man‘s Ren Meguro will appear in medicube‘s new global commercial “MeMe in NY”, which will be released sequentially from February 23rd.
Global beauty care land medicube has recently appointed Meguro, who has expanded the range of her activities overseas, including announcing her participation in overseas productions, as a global ambassador. As a brand that is expanding around the world, Meguro’s stance resonates with the challenge of venturing into new fields, and the appointment was made possible because of the desire to “support their progress and grow together.”
The new commercial is set in the middle of New York Times Square. Meguro, standing in the center of entertainment, gazes at his own image reflected in a huge outdoor vision. Along with the characters of her nickname “MeMe”, Meguro is shown using beauty serums and facial equipment. In the last scene, Meguro in the vision asks, “Are You Ready?” and Meguro, who was watching, replies, “I’m ready.” as if having a conversation. Together with medicube, it depicts Meguro challenging the world.
This commercial has all lines and narration shot in English. The shooting was done with a chic figure dressed in all-black outfit and a dazzling white shirt that was shown in the outdoor video. In the special setting of watching a video in which he appears, Meguro shows a cool expression and a somewhat charming figure in the video. On the other hand, in the scene where he stands in Times Square, he showed a contrasting performance that exuded an inner sense of elation, as if he was embodying his own self facing the challenge of full-fledged activities overseas.
He also displayed a professional attitude, carefully checking the camera’s position, smiling between shots, and always putting the staff at ease. In the scene where he rises from a lying down position in a choreographed manner, we get a glimpse of the side of Meguro who is always an entertainer no matter what. At the end of the shoot, he held the bouquet of flowers he had been given and bowed to each staff member, saying, “Thank you very much.” With such sincerity, the shooting continued to captivate the audience until the end.
