Wonder Man Star: Disney Sequel Update

Editor’s Note: The following contains minor spoilers for Marvel’s ‘Wonder Man.’Last year, it was revealed that the plot of Frozen 3 would begin a new chapter in Arendellehinting at a royal wedding and a new member of the royal family. To recap, Frozen 2 ended with Anna (Kristen Bell) becoming Queen of Arendelle, while Elsa (Idina Menzel) chose to live in the Enchanted Forest and become its protector. Meanwhile, one of Frozen 2‘s subplots was Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) seeking to advance his relationship with Annaculminating in a proposal. However, it’s currently unknown who this new family member is; it could be a baby or another sentient snowman. There is speculation that Frozen 3 could be split into two parts. Either way, Frozen 4 is already confirmed to be in development and will tie in directly with the third chapter.

As Frozen 3 is just over a year away from hitting theaters, one of its main cast members has shared an exciting update. Josh Gadthe actor behind Olafwho is fresh off a surprise cameo in Marvel’s Wonder Manshared on social media progress on the upcoming fantasy film, confirming he’s returning for a third time. Details for this forthcoming Princess Disney film have been scarce since its 2023 announcementbut Gad’s latest news puts Frozen 3 one step closer to a first-look preview.

Over on Instagram, Gad posted a photo with a caption that reads: “3rd time is always the charm. Time to build another snowman,” revealing that he’s back in Disney Animation studios as he begins to record his lines for the upcoming film. Gad starred in Frozen back in 2013, where he played Olaf, a sentient snowman that Elsa created when she ran away from Arendelle, but didn’t know that he was alive until she was reunited with Anna in her ice palace. Since then, Olaf has been a recurring face in the franchise, not only in films but also in shorts.

What Is ‘Frozen’ About?

Frozen is a Disney Princess animated franchise based on the Hans Christian Andersen story The Snow Queenwhich tells the story of two sisters: Elsa, a child born with ice powers, and Anna, who is mortal. Unfortunately, an accident when they were children forced Elsa to hide her powers. Its sequel, Frozen 2, takes place three years after the events of the 2013 feature, where Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf enter the Enchanted Forest as Arendelle faces a new threat and the only way to stop it is to learn the truth about the past.

Both Frozen films generated billions at the box office and were highly praised by fans and critics alike. Due to Frozen’s success, it led to a series of shorts on Disney+ and a Broadway musical. Alongside Frozen 3, it was also confirmed that Frozen 4 is in developmentbut a release date has yet to be announced.
