Jack Dorsey New Project: What’s Next for the Twitter Founder?

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey created Bitchat, a privacy-focused messaging app that works without mobile internet or Wi-Fi. It enables communication in the event of grid failures, emergencies or grid shutdowns.

Instead of servers or the Internet, Bitchat uses Bluetooth mesh networking. Messages are sent directly between nearby smartphones and relayed from device to device. No accounts, no phone numbers, no central control.

The app is open source and consistently designed for offline reliability.

When networks go down or access is restricted, tools like Bitchat keep people connected and private. Sometimes true innovation means taking away infrastructure, not adding it.
