It was in the French style that the interim leader of the Liberal Party of Quebec (PLQ), Marc Tanguay, presented himself to his party’s caucus on Tuesday.
Sporting a pair of sunglasses similar to those worn by Emmanuel Macron at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Mr. Tanguay winked at the French president by imitating his famous line “for sure”, which has since gone viral.
Remember that a burst blood vessel in Mr. Macron’s eye is the origin of this atypical style.
Elsewhere in the world, the British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, also had fun with Emmanuel Macron’s glasses. The two men joked on social networks, notably referring to the film Top Gun.
For his part, Donald Trump did not miss the opportunity to make fun of his French counterpart, saying that he was trying to “play the tough guy.”
