Rachmat Irianto scored a solo run when helping Persebaya Surabaya win over PSIM Yogyakarta. Bajul Ijo coach Bernardo Tavares brought up Diego Maradona to comment on the goal.

Persebaya won 3-0 over PSIM in the Super League match at the Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul, Yogyakarta, last weekend. Rian scored Persebaya’s third goal.

Controlling the ball from midfield, Rian made a solo run towards the PSIM goal. After making a feint, the 26 year old player netted the ball into PSIM’s goal.

Rian’s action amazed Tavares. He also gave the former Persib Bandung player a new nickname.

“I saw a goal today and I’ve never seen one before Rian previously. “I would say his name is Rian Diego Armando Maradona,” Tavares said on the ILeague website.

Persebaya has played two matches with Tavares. As a result, the team from the city of Heroes always wins.

Before PSIM, Persebaya brought by Tavares won an important victory over Malut United. At home, Persebaya won 2-1 over Laskar Kie Raha.

Persebaya has been waiting for a tough match in the Super League continuation. They will host Dewa United this weekend.
