This Monday morning the second shift of the Vacation Camp organized by the Chaco Sports Institute (IDCh) began, with activities that take place at the Jaime Zapata sports center, in the city of Resistencia.
The president of the organization, Fabio Daniel Vázquez, explained that this new stage allowed the incorporation of children who had not been able to participate in the first shift due to the limited quota, which reaches 250 children per period. According to him, the initial experience had high demand and a positive response from families.
The neighborhood includes recreational, sports and educational proposals. In addition to the use of the swimming pool, there are camp activities, sports disciplines such as soccer, volleyball, handball, beach volleyball and table tennis, and cooking workshops where children learn to prepare simple foods.
From the IDCh they indicated that one of the central objectives is to generate a space for integration, recreation and learning, where participants can share with children from different neighborhoods during the summer break.
Vázquez announced that the third shift will begin next week and that the registration forms can be picked up at the sports center or downloaded from the official social networks of the Chaco Sports Institute. The proposal is completely free, by order of the provincial government.

In addition to the children’s colony, the organization maintains swimming school activities in the afternoon, a free pool for family groups and a holiday colony for adults, which operates in the evening on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
About 80 teachers work in the development of the colony, of which 50 are directly assigned to the care and coordination of the children. All activities are carried out within the Jaime Zapata property, although a recreational outing to Cerrito Island is being planned for a specific group.
