Jenny Lewis took her unabashed love for her dog, Bobby Rhubarb, to “Such Great Heights” by “marrying” the cockapoo at her 50th birthday bash.
“I married my dog for my 50th birthday,” Lewis wrote in a social media post featuring photos from the festivities. “BLESS!”

Lewis, who turned 50 on January 8th, dressed in a white wedding gown for the occasion. According to The Independentthe evening also featured the Rilo Kiley vocalist performing “Such Great Heights” with her Postal Service bandmate Ben Gibbard, as well as Phantom Planet’s “California” alongside Alex Greenwald. Morgan Nagler and Farmer Dave Scher were also spotted performing at the birthday party.

Lewis previously paid tribute to Bobby Rhubarb in her 2021 song “Puppy and a Truck.” In a subsequent interview with The Independentshe credited the dog with helping her get through a dark time in her life. “Exercise helps,” she said about managing mental health. “And so does having a dog.”
